Ballymoate Heritage Week
Ballymote Heritage Weekend commences its official opening on Friday night with lectures delivered each night. Sligo County Fleadh
The Sligo County Fleadh held over the June Bank Holiday weekend comprises of a number of formal and informal events centering on Traditional Irish Music, Song and Dance. Over 400 children will compete in the various competitions. The social programme consists of the official opening, concert, ceili, street music and informal sessions.

Riverstown Vintage Festival
The Sligo Vintage Festival includes vintage displays, traditional crafts, music, dance, drama, readings, poetry and traditional cooking of foods. A great atmosphere to be had and a fun day out for all the family. Day one of the festival includes vintage displays, traditional crafts, music, drama, song and dance, poetry and reading. Traditional cooking of foods. Day two of the event is based around a \'Family Fun Day\' and Childrens Day with various activities including traditional old-style novelty sports, drama, music, song and dance.

Markree Castle Game & Country Fair
The biggest country weekend in the North West of Ireland will take place this summer at Markree Castle in County Sligo. The oldest inhabited castle in Ireland, Markree has been in the Cooper family for 350 years and is today run as a Country Hotel. The Game and Country Fair, to take place in the castle\'s spectacular grounds, is set to be a major new event on the Connaught scene. With Sligo so easily accessible, only two and a half hours drive from Dublin or Belfast, the weekend is a date for everyone\'s diary.

Classes in Irish Music and Sean Nos singing held in tin whistle, flute, fiddle, Bodhran and traditional singing by top class tutors in their field. New features this year includes set dancing classes for beginners and advanced and ceili. All evening entertainment of the summer school festival will be held in The Sligo City Hotel, Quay Street which includes a closing set dancing ceili in the hotel on 10th August at 2pm.
